WHIPLASH, SPINAL TRAUMA & NECK,
BACK & LEG PAIN
The Cox® Decompression Technique:
The Cox® Decompression Technique is an advanced and gentle chiropractic adjustment for neck pain and back pain. Unlike surgery, it is a conservative and non-invasive form of treatment. It drastically reduces the ill effects, risks and high costs of surgery and can be more effective. A specially crafted, partially motorized chiropractic table allows for a wide range of decompressive movements and the doctor is always in full control of the table. Whiplash and Spinal Trauma Treatment:
Whiplash, also referred to as neck strain or sprain, is an injury to the soft tissue of the neck usually caused by a sudden neck extension backward followed by a strong forward movement. Treatment includes range of motion exercises, rehab strengthening, physical therapy and heat therapy in addition to the chiropractic care. Dr. Moses has completed all four modules of Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. This gives Dr. Moses an expertise in this field shared by few other chiropractors.
Ultrasound Treatment:Ultrasound treatment sends painless high frequency sound waves to the area or areas with soft tissue injuries creating a heat response beneath the surface of the skin. This treatment increases metabolic activity through this deep tissue heating and micro-massage. The treatment also increases collagen/soft tissue elasticity and reduces adhesions and with other chiropractic methods can speed recovery from many common injuries.
Massage Therapy:
Massage therapy has proven effective for treatment of aches and pains due to minor or severe accidents. Massage therapy manually reduces muscular adhesions and trigger points, stimulates lymphatic flow and circulation to the affected area. This therapy also increases shortened muscle resting length, reduces myofascial pain and dysfunction through manual soft tissue mobilization.
Rehab Strengthening:
Dr. Moses offers light and intensive rehab training with a personal trainer in a designated training area within the office. Working with a personal trainer and implementing effective strength training techniques with chiropractic procedures has shown to significantly reduce the recovery time of many patients who have suffered moderate or severe trauma.
Physical Therapy Modalities:
Combined use of ultrasound, hot and cold packs as well as muscle stimulation has proven to be an effective treatment for major and minor pains including back, neck and leg pain. The combination of these treatments and others has shown to reduce pain even in chronic cases.
